As of 27 September 2026, ACER has confirmed one 2027 window: Window 1, with testing from 15 to 28 February 2027 and registration from 12 to 25 January 2027. The other three windows aren't published yet. Based on the last several years, expect them in roughly May, August and late October, on ACER's test dates page.

Registration opens between 10am–12pm on the first day and closes at 5pm Melbourne time on the last day. If you're sitting by remote proctoring, note that the remote window ends five days before the test window closes.
Registration windows are short, about two weeks. The single most common way people end up "waiting for next year" is missing the registration window, not the test itself. Window 4 registration closes at 5pm on Monday 5 October. Miss it, and the next chance is Window 1 registration, from 12 to 25 January 2027.
2027 test windows: confirmed and expected
ACER has run four windows a year in the same rhythm for years. Window 1 of 2027 is confirmed. The other three are our projection from the 2026 schedule:

Window 1 is confirmed by ACER. The other 2027 rows are our projection from ACER's established pattern, not an announcement. Always confirm against ACER's official page before planning around a date.
What this means if you're planning for 2027
- Sitting early in 2027? Registration for Window 1 opens on 12 January and closes at 5pm on 25 January 2027, over the university break, which is exactly when it's easiest to miss. Set a reminder now.
- Need your result before a final-year practicum? Work backwards: results come out four to five weeks after a window closes, so Window 1 results are expected in late March 2027. If your provider needs results by mid-year, Window 1 or 2 is your target, and Window 2 is the last comfortable option.
- Want to teach in NSW before you graduate? Since 1 August 2026 you must pass the LANTITE before NESA grants Conditional accreditation, so aim for a window that finishes at least five weeks before you reach 75% of your degree, or 50% of a postgraduate one. - First year of an ITE course? Since 2024, first-year students are expected to have a test attempt in their first year — an early window keeps that requirement off your plate.
- Only one component to pass? If you've already passed literacy or numeracy, you only re-sit the component you haven't met — same windows, same registration process.
How to use the wait
The months before Window 1 registration opens are the cheapest preparation time you'll ever get: no deadline pressure, no registration stress. By the time registration opens on 12 January, you want to be deciding when to sit, not whether you're ready. When will ACER release the 2027 LANTITE dates?
ACER has already published Window 1 of 2027: testing from 15 to 28 February, registration from 12 to 25 January. It doesn't pre-announce when the other three windows will appear. We check regularly and will add them here the day they're published.
How many times a year can I sit the LANTITE?
There are four windows a year, and since 2025 there is no limit on how many times you can attempt the test. If you don't meet the standard in one component, you only resit that component, in any later window. (Our LANTITE explained guide covers the details.)
Can I sit the test remotely in 2027?
Remote proctoring has been available alongside test centres in every recent window and there's no indication that changes in 2027. Note the remote sitting period ends five days before each window closes, so remote candidates effectively have a slightly shorter window.
How much does the LANTITE cost?
Check the current fee on ACER's registration page when you book — fees are set per component and can change year to year.
What should I do right now?
If you can be ready by late October, register for 2026 Window 4 before 5pm on Monday 5 October and be done with it this year.
